My name is Dr Michelle Khan and I am a Canadian ophthalmologist. I have recently been involved with the institution of St John, and have also been appointed as the Chair of SOA Canada, which has been a huge honour.
I was part of the academic committee that helped organise the first in a series of MasterClasses, called the NeuroOrbital Symposium, which was held at the Cavalry and Guards Club this past November. The event brought together ophthalmologists and neurosurgeons and other specialists from around the world to engage in discussions regarding cutting edge technologies, new surgical techniques, challenging surgical cases, and clinical teaching pearls in general.
The ability of St John to bring together such a dynamic group of people not only for its academic endeavours, but also to support the larger humanitarian cause John is something that is truly inspiring.
I am truly honoured to be part of this amazing group of people, and I am looking forward to be part of the next academic endeavour.
