iYouth: Formal Launch Event
February 21st, Dublin, Ireland
On Saturday 21st February, the new Young Professionals Group for St John Eye Hospital, called ‘iYouth’, held its inaugural meeting in Dublin.
iYouth is formed of professionals from all disciplines under the age of 35 years, and looks forward to supporting The Eye Hospital Group, as well as playing its part alongside the evolving Youth movement for the Order.
The group is grateful for the support of Prof O’Higgins Norman (iYouth Patron), Miss Denese Carberry, Dr Bairbre Golden, Mr Pádraig Allen, and all our Irish Members, as well as our Prior of England and the Islands and SOA Patron, without whom this meeting would not have been possible.
Details regarding its membership base, executives, activities and structure will evolve in accordance with the strategy and governance of SJEHG and its Board, being itself the young professional arm of the St John Ophthalmic Association.
Any young professional interested in supporting iYouth is welcome to contact the Hon Secretary, Mr Theo Petit, Imperial College medical student, on iYouth@SOA.global
We thank our next generation of professionals for their support for the Eye Hospital Group, and the Order as a whole, and wish them success in their endeavours.
