My name is Neil Kitchen. I am a Consultant neurosurgeon and I very much enjoyed helping to organise the inaugural NeuroOrbital MasterClass which took place at the Cavalry and Guards Club late last year.

The orbits act as twin pillars protecting the anterior fossa floor and the cranial contents, and can be approached 360 degrees by a variety of surgical disciplines. Not only that, the orbital pathologies encountered are very varied, often quite rare, and surgical experience in dealing with them can be quite limited. It is vital that we share our experience and expertise with others to improve our patients’ outcome. I have certainly used the knowledge I learnt from that day in my daily practice already.
